Six courses, twelve to forty metres
Each one raises the depth you are certified to and the conditions you are trained for. You do not have to do them in order, but the water rather insists on it.
Before you book anything
Flying afterwards
Leave at least 18 hours between your last dive and your flight off the islands. Plan your last dive day around your flight, not the other way round — this one is not negotiable.
The medical form
Asthma, heart conditions, recent surgery, some medications and pregnancy all need a doctor's sign-off before you dive. Tell us early and you can sort it out before you travel rather than losing a day here.
Getting here
Ferries run from Port Blair to Havelock daily and sell out in peak season. Book the ferry before you book the course, and give yourself a buffer day — the sea does not always cooperate.
Not sure which one you need?
Tell us what you have done before and how many days you have. We will say which course actually fits, including when the answer is that you should just do fun dives instead.
